Through much contemplation and frustration I realized the Feminine is absent within the walls of a strip club or a brothel. I became engaged by the male anima, the woman inside every man. The anima is one of the most significant autonomous complexes of all. It manifests itself by appearing as figures in dreams as well as by influencing a man's interactions with women and his attitude toward them. I decided to turn the camera onto men, men created in the image of their female fantasy. ȠI began to photograph the Male anima- the unconscious idea of the feminine in his mind, rather than the woman herself. A woman in a strip club is painted with make up, covered in perfume, has glued on eye lashes, hair extensions, and is dressed in plastic and polyester.ȠI tried photographing the women, but you couldn't see the woman in these photographs.
