The artist biography:
Yu-Yu Ueda I was born in 1981 in Tokyo, and I have been drawing and painting every day since my childhood. When I had ill when I was 14, I spent time forgetting about pictures and the like. After that incident I remembered how I used to paint, and I thought about what might happen if I weren't able to do that anymore. Little by little I started to paint again. Several years back I started exhibiting in group and solo exhibitions, and in recent years I have been mostly exhibiting internationally. My work centers around oil painting, but I use a variety of other materials as well to produce my work. Following the title of this exhibition, I tried to collect a group of stargazers gazing up at the stars.
